The refrigerator is 21 months old, and it has an area of rust on the water dispenser door, i was told it was out of warranty, i do have extented warranty and rust is not cover. this should have never rusted. JUNK

Thoughts on new Frigidaire refrigerator

Our GE refrigerator which would have had its 20th birthday in May stopped working on a Friday night catching us off guard. So we checked out Costco, Home Depot, and Lowe's to see what was available. The GE was a side by side which is still available, but apparently no longer very desirable or popular. We settled on the Frigidaire as we liked the flexibility of the third drawer that can be a freezer or refrigerator. I was surprised to see how much more room we had with the top refrigerator compartment, and while we knew we were losing space in the freezer, it was not as bad as expected. We really like the new set up and it's great to have ice and water working again!

I like the compartmentalizes capability and the ability to adjust the middle drawer as needed--such as needing a freezer space when the other fridge went out. Although the inside is small, it does keep from overloading with food that may go to waste. You will definitely need an additional refrigerator due to its compact design if you are wanting fresh product storage or leftover storage. Family of two here, so I doubt it would be good for more than a family of four???? We had to get this design due to kitchen build. It's a quiet machine too. :)

My husband and I absolutely love our new refrigerator. Seems silly to say that about an appliance, but this one is head and shoulders above the Whirlpool we had last, which we got rid of because the ice maker never really worked great and had started rusting around the ™€˜water in the door™€™ feature. Functionally, though this is a smaller footprint because it is counter-depth, it has more useable space inside. We haven™€™t tried the freezer option in the drawer, but love that we have flexibility to use it as it fits our needs. We got this at a pretty good discount during a new years sale, but it is such a solid product I will consider other Frigidaire Gallery appliances in the future. Definitely worth the price.

This is a beauty !!! It™€™s HUGE ! It makes keeping an organized refrigerator so easy, you can see every you have, nothing seems cramped. The ice is perfection and the water is crisp and cold! It is brand new so the water still comes out a little scattered cloudy, yet it does say about after 4 gallons of rinsing out, it™€™s ready to drink. But very cold. The freezer is deep and love the space and drawers. The middle part is lovely! You can store whatever and click on what you want: freezer, deli meats, wine, etc. I love it!

I love that I can access more things in my fridge now. The side-by-side we had previously was annoying. The only thing I was frustrated by here was the lack of clear instructions about the capability (or lack thereof) to swap shelves around. I really wanted my side in shelf to be in the middle (rather than at the top) since a lot of the taller things are heavy. I ended up figuring out how to move things around however the pin that helped secure the top two shelves together ONLY works if the slide in shelf is on the top. So it isn't really securing anything at the moment but didn't really hinder my rearrangement.

My parents bought us a new fridge for Christmas. The whole family loves it especially my high school boys. They love the middle section where they can place their drinks. Our past kitchen fridge is now in our garage, still working, and 25 years old. Hoping to get 25 years with this fridge:)

The refrigerator is very nice. We like the drawer that can be frig or freezer. The handles on our refrigerator were not the correct handles and instead of being shiny smudge proof, they had a strange mottled look instead of solid and shiny. They also were not smudge proof like the refrigerator so they constantly are dirty and rough no matter what i do. I had a workman out for this and he said they would be replaced with the correct handles with the correct finish. I am waiting on that now. It was very difficult to get through to Frigedaire and I had to wait on the phone for over an hour, plus 4 attempts before that of being disconnected, getting through to one department who pushed me on to another department. This could definitely be improved greatly
