Hands down the best place to buy kitchen appliances in mid-MO. Sales team listens well and suggests relevant and understanding solutions. The installers that came out did a fine job making sure everything was fitted properly and that we understood how to operate things. Also the in-house protection plans they offer beat any big-box store's. If you didn't purchase your appliance from here, then throw it away and try again, getting it right this time!

I purchased my washer over the phone with Logan. He was nice and patient with me, answering my questions. (I can be a pain.) Transaction was made and I paid for with my card. Delivered washer today as promised, right on time. The guys were extremely nice and helpful. Took my old washer, brought in and installed the new one making sure all was in working order. Love Downtown Appliance!! Bought all our appliances there! We are still remodeling our kitchen and its been 9 months since I bought our dishwasher and realized I wasn't as fond of it once I was able to start using it! No problem, went in and Gene was fantastic! He traded me out and now I have a dishwasher that works for us! It was flawless! The sales staff are great, and their installer Calvin was great!! Everyone there really cares about us!! Adrianna, Dennis, Don, Gene, Rob to name a few!! I love my refrigerator, induction stove top, double ovens, mircowave and that cool dishwasher!! We wanted a Bosch counter-depth refrigerator for our new home which had great reviews online but no one in town had one on display. When I called Downtown Appliance, the woman said they had one in their warehouse and she would call me as soon as they had it on the floor. She called an hour later, said they were putting it on the floor. We went out to see it and knew it was perfect for our home. Every question we asked was answered and we bought it on the spot.They scheduled the install to fit my calendar after our closing date; I didn't have to go on their timeline.The installers were PERFECT. My new wood floors were not scratched, the didn't touch any door ways on the way in, and sailed through the installation in just a few minutes including hooking up the ice maker. The refrigerator had to fit in an exactly-sized frame so it would appear "built-in" and they did it perfectly. I was simply amazed.The service and sale were exceptional and I have to say, after looking at every other appliance store including the big stores in town, this was the MOST respectful service we have ever received buying an appliance. I felt valued and respected instead of feeling like a "floor rep" in other stores had to waste their time with my questions.We are now in the market for a dryer to match our washer and an upright front-free freezer. I won't shop anywhere else. Thank you Downtown Appliance for restoring my faith in businesses that still do business the old-fashioned way: with respect for my questions AND my home.

Every person I interacted with was knowledgeable in their field and concerned for my business. I was treated with respect and grace even when my situation became complicated (see below). Logan really worked hard for me, so I want to call him out by name.I needed a fridge for a new house ASAP, but I wanted to make sure it was the right fridge for the right space. Eventually I found what I liked (a Cafe). Downtown Appliance partially price-matched a competitor's incredible offer and could also get it to me 2 weeks sooner than the other guy (which made up any further difference in cost for me). In fact, no one in town could get me what I was looking for as fast as DA could. Delivery guys were awesome. They didn't mind me hovering a little, answered my questions, and they were alert about unnecessary contact they may have inside the house (it's high COVID season). Then we hit the aforementioned complication.Because I wanted a very specific fridge on a very tight timeline, I had to order it sight-unseen and gamble on it fitting properly. Hard to explain in a review, but dimensions were tricky. Turns out, the hinge swings the door wider than anyone could have known without seeing it in person. Panicked, I called Logan to return it and get a different fridge. Before I bought the fridge, Logan had explained there was a restocking fee, so I was not surprised. What surprised me was the hustle to get me a different fridge that worked in the space. I no longer had the time to do my usual meticulous shopping, so I handed my list of "must-haves" to Logan and trusted his judgement to get me something good and quick. He delivered. 3 days later, delivery guys hauled the first fridge off and put the second fridge in (again with great care and attention). And the second fridge has been a dream. Bigger, but fits better (again, hard to explain briefly). Runs quieter. Makes ice more quickly. Cost less - enough less that I didn't even notice the restocking fee from the first fridge. I should have trusted Logan more with picking out the first fridge.I cannot be more pleased with my experience at Downtown Appliance. We're all set on appliances for now, but I can say for certain we'll be back.

I just had a Bosch dishwasher 300 series installed by Lee, from Downtown Appliance Home Center! Lee was efficient, putting a board under the dishwasher because the new flooring I had installed 4 years ago was too high. Don Helmreich had to cut the old dishwasher out this past Monday, on his day off! Lee did a monumental job installing my new dishwasher, and cleaned up afterwards! Thank you, Lee and Don, for doing a great job!

My wall ovens didn't come in on time to install on the day I took off work (I work as a subcontractor, and no work, no pay) and instead of me having to take another day off work, Downtown Appliances thought outside the box and found upgraded ovens that were in their warehouse and able to be installed that day at no extra charge for the upgrade. I highly recommend shopping local at Downtown Appliances. Their installers went above and beyond as well and were very professional. I am very pleased with their customer service and intend to purchase my new refrigerator and washer and dryer from them as well.

Dennis made finding the right fridge a breeze. We provided the handful of things we wanted in a new fridge and he gave us the four options they had in stock.The installers Calvin and Aaron (sp?) were considerate as well as helpful. They were careful in removing the old fridge ensuring not to damage or scape anything. After they hooked up the new fridge they went through the features for us. It was a delight meeting them.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else! As a realtor and home remodeler, I have had a lot of experience buying appliances. And downtown appliance is by far the easiest experience. Their sales staff is incredibly knowledgeable and they are there to help find what’s best for you, not just sell you any random appliance they have in stock. Most importantly, after they sell you a product, they stand behind it. When I have an issue with any appliance, downtown appliance responds quickly and efficiently. You will not get that at any box store. (Speaking from experience). All it takes is a phone call and you can expect their warranty team to show up at the scheduled time.

Best customer service in town!!! Our dryer died, so I contacted them and asked about the dryer that went with the washer we’d bought a couple of years ago from them. Turns out it’s no longer made, but they had 2 affordable options that would be similar and the texted me the websites to compare them. When I contacted them again with what met my family’s needs they had it in stock, and we picked it up on the way home. When you trust your dealer, shopping is SOOO easy. Ever have a problem with an outdoor grill? You are on your own with all the usual places. I needed a new grill so went to you. You delivered it promptly. I started it and it wouldn’t light. I called and the tech came to my house in an hour to explain that the gas measure valve I had added wasn’t working. Oops! He readjusted some screws, made sure I had added the drip pan correctly and wished me a good day. Wow! Try that at a box store! Thanks.

Great service. I bought a dishwasher there in 2014 that required multiple repairs over the years. Downtown Appliance contacted the manufacturer, which provided a free replacement, with free installation, in 2018. Very impressed. Doubt I'd get that level of support from a big-box retailer. They also have serviced my refrigerator and dryer. If you need a new appliance or service, start with Downtown Appliance.

Downtown Applicance Home Center has been amazing! I can not say enough about our salesman Dennis and the owners. Since moving to Columbi and learning about them as we replace appliances the ones they sell are a step above. The extended warranty is always a must for us from now on and they stand behind their sales. Dennis worked very hard was super patient during the process of buying a new washer and dryer then a refrigerator replaced. Believe me I was no easy customer and I knew that going in! Had the heating element go out on my Samsung Dryer. Removed the old element, started searching online for a replacement. It was a Sunday. All the big hardware stores in town were out of stock, was going to have to order it. I've done business with Downtown before and had a good result, so I thought I'd give them a call. They had 3! Pricing was more than the internet, but I expected it and its always worth a couple of bucks to do business locally. They are nice people there and while I was buying the part, I got some invaluable advice on clearing the air vent system (which was terribly clogged, had to climb onto the roof to clear). So, happy customer! Probably should have hired them to do the whole repair, but I like to fix things myself!

Awesome place I brought what I beleaved was a bad switch on my used old machine and asked them if they could check it on a meter this was on a Saturday morning around 11 they did and it was tested and was bad they looked it up saying they weren’t sure if they had the part in stock since they didn’t sell Maytag well they had the part in stock they even tested the new switch for me to make sure it was good.they did all on a Saturday morning. I had called Maytag direct in Columbia they wouldn’t be able to get the part until Wednesday of the next week. I asked them if they test part and they said they didn’t have time to on a Saturday so they won’t ever get my business next time I need an appliance or part I will defiantly go back to Down town appliance $32 dollars to fix my machine my self

My wife & I were looking at mattresses and looked somewhere else first, then came in and talked with Gene Lavely. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We bought a mattress that day because we found one we really liked and the price was much better than the other store. We have bought kitchen appliances there and I highly recommend them to anyone.

We needed a dishwasher (after being without one for many weeks) because company is coming next week! I had really had it with all that handwashing. Dennis set us up with just what we needed (GE with hidden controls) and I will officially be finished with all that washing on Monday!!

We have purchased several appliances from them, new and used, and the staff has always been incredibly helpful and personable. They have, at times, even given us quick fix tips over the phone that have saved us a service call charge and have been happy to give advice.

We recently had to replace our gas range. Downtown Appliance were the nicest and most knowledgeable staff we had talked to in Columbia. They did a great job installing our range and microwave. My wife and I would highly recommend them.

Mike, the service technician, was thorough in finding the problem with our ice maker and resolving it on our GE Profile refrigerator. He is experienced and very knowledgeable. In addition, he was courteous and determined to satisfy us, his customer. Should we experience a problem with our refrigerator in the future, I will call upon Mike.
